A few years ago I was sitting at the East Austin Studio Tour, and I was just doodling on some watercolor paintings I had previously made. I never really though about selling my cartoon-style drawings, but when I finished one I decided to post it up on my gallery wall to see if it would sell. Unexpectedly, It sold within MINUTES of me posting it. I realized then that I could indeed do exactly what I have always wanted to do- Illustrate and doodle cartoon narratives that other people could also enjoy. Now I am obsessed with my little watercolor worlds, and I even teach students at my school how to make such an enjoyable, vivid, and accessible art form. This is why I continue making art.
